4 track / tape delay trouble

Just when I finally managed to get my hands on a Watkins/ wem 4 track mixer with built in tape delay ,(for the lovely price of £20 <IMG SRC="http://www.interruptor.ch/cgi-bin/discu ... /happy.gif" ALT=":)"> ) something has to go wrong! the little metal device which puts tension on the tape seems to have gotten loose and i dont know if this is possible to fix. the previous owner warned me about this and said it was a common problem in old tape gear , so if anyone has experienced similar problems and fixed it up , please let me know as i dont want to be making more damage than whats already there! <BR> , thanks , nematod
