BIONIC DELAY 2 - VST3 64bit : OUT NOW
Finally I released the 64bit VST3 version of Bionic Delay for Windows! It comes with many new features: - SWING timing - FREEZE function - CHARACTER dial to select analog and digital tones from pristine to Lo-Fi - MANUAL Delay time entry - BALANCE control to place the effect in the stereo mix. - Ver...

Re: Pre or post fader?
That all sounds very reasonable. Now I get why you want post fader aux on the channel used as fx return. I use two Sonic Core Scope dsp boards installed in a windows pc as a digital mixer. This allows to do live mixes of analog external signals and fx units via a midi controller while having the ben...

Re: Pre or post fader?
Hi I am not sure exactly what you mean. "Pre" for the instrument/vocal channels seems to be a good idea as it allows to set the aux levels independently of the channel fader setting. For the return of the effect to the board I think it is a good idea to use a normal mixer channel as well. This way y...

Re: The Untold Stories.
That's very true. For marketing reasons we are often presented with the same few famous names whereas others are overlooked. Much of the greatness of golden era dubs was only possible due to the many people who came together and contributed their specific talents and love for the music. Perry's Blac...

Re: 80's Dancehall Riddims: Snare drum sound
Yes, crazy that Behringer gets away while KB6 didn't. Maybe they should just rename their Roland samplesets "Behringer RD-8" etc. and reupload them.. Or some fantasy name like "Robert 8" Yes I was reading the post they made on KB6 site. It's a shame as it's not just about the samples but a hi...

Re: 80's Dancehall Riddims: Snare drum sound
Thanks for the new links! Most pages disappear after some years. One big exception is this archive which exists since 28 (!) years.. http://samples.kb6.de Unfortunately they had to remove all samples by Roland who fiercly protect the copyrights of samples from their legacy products. I am surprised R...

Re: Lickshot siren schematic problem
Hi,
I don't know this schematic, but tried to read it. Do you have a higher resolution version of it?
This pic is really hard to read, especially the gray writing.

Re: K-10 Rack mount
I was editing my post while you already replied..
I think you need to provide some solution for the missing pot since without it there would be no sound.
Either make a new one which is not difficult or at least provide a plug with a short circuit inside.

Re: K-10 Rack mount
If your goal is to sell the unit anyway, I don’t think the mentioned modifications are worth it. You’d hike up the price substantially while moving the design away from the original product. Buyers who are interested in a vintage product in the first place would probably rather look for one in it’s ...

Re: Dancehall Stringy-Synth Thing 80s/90s
I don't recognize the sound or instrument used in these examples. Did you already look for "Clav", "Clavinet" or "synth piano" presets in synths from the era? For example look at the DX-100 as used by Steelie and Clevie in the early days. DX-100 is a speced down version of the DX-7 with only 4 opera...

Long time ago, Dubcreator the dub artist was participating regularly in this forum. But I can't remember that he posted a guide for dub beats here. Maybe you can ask him directly? His username is "DC" so you could try to send him a direct message. He did not post here in a very long time but he is a...

Re: BIONIC DELAY 2 - VST3 64bit for Windows: BETA available for testing
Initial reactions from Beta testers show that the CHARACTER dial is not self-explanatory from the GUI alone. Hence some explanation. In short: Think of it as a condition control that goes from new and clean (center position) to old and beaten up in the extreme left and right positions. - fully right...

Released 1999 on CD only in France. Some copies are on sale on discogs: https://www.discogs.com/de/release/308615-King-Tubby-The-Fatman-Tapes-II As you are specifically looking for vinyl you are probably out of luck. Being the last track on a 21-track CD release it also seems this one was probably n...

Re: benidub d571 siren synth
Just connect the siren to the third channel on your mixer and play it on top of the music for additional excitement. Many Dub/Roots sound systems play with only one turntable. Transitions between tunes are created by talking on the mic and/or using the siren together with an echo effect. As an examp...

Re: The Interruptor - Dub Voyage
I think the same. For me, creating moving images worthy of a music video was simply not possible before AI. I wanted to create a video for this tune years ago already. Trying with real life video and also with images scanned from art books was frustrating and only proved how little I knew about film...
