i am trying to find out what are the most common effects that sound systems use when they spin records. i am aware of the siren and samplers but after that i get lost. does anyone have any idea what kind of machine is making those endless echoes that can change pitch and tempo?

must be a delay unit. most digital delays cannot create echoes changing pitch and speed though. analog and tape delays usually can do it.

a friend of mine uses a boss digital delay guitar-pedal on his sound to great effect. i am not sure whether the current models DD6 and DD3 still react the same when changing the delay time (the pitch and tempo change you are looking for) just try it out and tell us afterwards.. <BR> <BR>also line-6 has a small delay pedal called "Tone Core Echo Park" This one is specialised in vintage delays like tape echo and analog echo. it might be even cooler than the boss models. i havent tried how it reacts to tempo changes though.
